Open Doors at CBC The Holy One, the True One, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. Rev 3:7b-8a We have the opportunity and privilege of being a part of God's Plan. But, we must step through the door of opportunity that our Lord places before us. Perhaps for you, it's the open door an organized program offers such as the Men's or Women's Bible Studies on Wednesdays, helping with Children's Ministries, or praying earnestly with fellow believers on Wednesday nights. Maybe something a little less formal such as visiting that ministry group you've been thinking about checking out. Perhaps it's something just between you and the Lord--discovered in the quietness of your closet, applying a passage like Micah 6:8 to your daily life. He has shown thee, oh, man, what is good and what the Lord requires of thee. But to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God. Peter also reminds us to do it in the strength of the Lord. For the culmination of all things is near. So be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of prayer. Above all keep your love for one another fervent, because love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without complaining. Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God. Whoever speaks, let it be with God's words. Whoever serves, do so with the strength that God supplies, so that in everything God will be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11 |

Our hope is that you'll find what you came looking for--whether you're new to the area, driven by and seen our street sign, or just searching for more answers about what it is to be a believer in Christ, we hope this website will help you find some answers. And if you don't find that answer, we're just a phone call or email click away. It's our heart's desire to keep our faith simple, but grow it deep. Thus, our mission, or passion, if you will--Loving God, Loving our Neighbor and the Word of God. As Jesus, our God, our Lord, and our Savior said the Greatest Commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. The second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus explained that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. We believe the Scriptures to be God's Word. So, explore away! We hope you'll stay for awhile and come visit us in person on Sunday morning, Wednesday night or for one of our smaller Ministry Group fellowship times that meet on the weekends. |
